We offer medical certification as followed:

Class I - required for ATPL/CPL license holder (CAA/CASA)

Class II - required for PPL license holder (CAA/CASA)

Class III - required for air traffic controller (CAA/CASA)

NZTA DL9/12 - required for RPL license holder (New Zealand only)

What is included?

general medical exam 

ECG (electrocardiogram)

basic urine analysis (dip stick)

basic hearing test (pure tone audiogram)

basic lung function test (spirometry)

basic vision test (Snellen chart)

basis color vision test (Ishihara plates)

height, weight and body mass index (BMI)

oxygen saturation of the blood (pulse oximetry)

blood pressure measurement, body temperature

What is not included?

laboratory investigations such as blood glucose, HbA1C, blood lipids...

chest x-rays (required in some cases)

special eye investigation/report including advanced color vision tests

other special investigations such as stress ECG, advanced hearing tests, specialists exams...

Appointments will usually be arranged at our practice at Aorangi Surgical Group, 43 York Street, Timaru.

Mobile service is also available on request but may occur an additional charge.
